| RECOGNITION AWARD | |
| The Westland Downtown Development Authority has created a Business/Service award to recognize the efforts of businesses located in the DDA District. Many businesses in the District contribute time, money or equipment to help local charities while providing the best products and service. This is the hallmark of small businesses in the United States. The Westland Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors recognizes their efforts by presenting an award to business owners at a City Council meeting on a quarterly basis. | |
| Criteria for Business or Service Recognition Award | |
2. A Business or Service is recognized if they have completed renovation of their business location. 3. The Business or Service has exceptional customer service indicated by their customers. 4. A Business or Service would be recognized for their contribution to the community or a charity. 5. The Business or Service received professional achievement within their own professional association.
